Description
Group travel is operationally demanding in ways that individual itinerary work isn’t, and the failure modes are different. A problem that inconveniences one traveler becomes a group complaint that can define an entire tour’s reputation. Logistics that work at an individual level can fail at group scale. The pacing that suits a physically active solo traveler is wrong for a mixed-fitness group of twenty. Managing all of those variables across the arc of a multi-day program requires a level of operational planning that most practitioners underestimate until they’re in the middle of a tour that isn’t running well.
You’ll work with:
- Capacity and logistics planning: rooming configurations, transport sizing, activity booking at group scale, and managing the supplier commitments that hold a tour together
- Pacing and program design for groups: accounting for group dynamics, fitness variation, and the energy management of multi-day itineraries with mixed traveler profiles
- Operational documentation: rooming lists, run sheets, emergency protocols, and the information management that allows a tour to run consistently even when the lead operator isn’t present for every element
Timeline: +/- 7 hours
Result: A more complete operational framework for group tour production — with the planning systems and documentation habits that reduce the frequency of field problems and improve the response when they happen anyway.
