About Us

The Problem with How Travel Professionals Are Trained:

Most people who enter the travel industry learn it by doing it — which is fine as far as it goes, and genuinely limited in how far it goes. Experience without a conceptual framework produces practitioners who know what works in the situations they’ve encountered, and who struggle when something unfamiliar comes up. WakVic was built to provide that framework: the professional knowledge that makes experience more productive and judgment more reliable across a wider range of situations.

What the Platform Actually Covers:

The curriculum spans itinerary design, destination knowledge, tour operations, and travel business management. Those four areas reflect the actual scope of professional competence in the industry — you can’t do the work well without all of them, and most training programs address one or two while leaving the others to chance. We treat them as an integrated set, because in practice they are.

Where the Content Comes From:

Our programs are developed with input from practitioners who have spent careers in operational travel roles — ground operators, tour managers, independent consultants, and agency owners who have navigated the industry across different market conditions and destination environments. The content reflects what they identify as the genuine knowledge requirements of the work, not a simplified version designed for promotional purposes.

Who Uses WakVic:

Our learners include independent travel consultants building professional depth, tour operators developing their team’s operational knowledge, agency owners looking to raise the standard of their advisors’ client work, and career changers entering the industry with transferable professional skills and a need for industry-specific knowledge. What they share is a seriousness about the work that goes beyond passion for travel.
